Chijioke Ihunwo, chairman of Obio Akpor LGA in Rivers, has scrubbed Nyesom Wike’s name off the administrative block of the council secretariat.
Wike, who is the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and former governor of Rivers, hails from Rumuepirikom in Obio-Akpor LGA of the state has his name boldly engraved on the administrative building of the council secretariat.
The new chairman says Wike has caused the local government area much trouble and had his name replaced with a former politician and activist in the state, the late Obi Wali’s, who died in 1993.
Inhunwo and 22 other newly LGA chairpersons elected during the Rivers local council election were recently sworn in by the State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.
