Teni has revealed why she’s stopped handing out cash on Fridays

In a video, she joked that recipients often splurge on pepper soup instead of using it for meaningful purposes.

Sharing a personal anecdote, Teni said someone she helped financially ended up buying a huge plate of catfish pepper soup, despite claiming the money was for business.

“I don’t give anyone money on Fridays,” Teni said in Pidgin English.

“If you give someone money on Friday, they’ll use it to eat pepper soup”.

She lightheartedly advised giving money on Mondays when people are focused on their weekly plans.
